My Story

I write colourful narratives of Africa’s people - historical events which had shaped their world and continue to define their lives

All my works in some way or other take the reader to Africa where my roots are, but Australia, my home, nourishes my writer’s soul

My heart is anchored in my family on the Mid North Coast of Australia - the place where stories flourish in the beauty of white beaches and never-ending sunshine

What I do every day:

I love telling stories with an African element hidden somewhere in the tale to honour my heritage

For children, I educate through storytelling, using the magic of informal narratives to reach young neurodivergent readers. I apply my academic knowledge acquired over many years, to sensitively guide those with special needs

For adult readers I keep the treasured history of my birthplace alive in historical works which speak to their hearts

What I do in my spare time:

Through my Be Thankful Project I volunteer online language guidance, assist with writing projects, and mentor students in grammar usage
